I showered next to the urinals

We had a day off yesterday and went to London. I loved being there again, we haven't been spending much time there lately, so it was nice to be back. We went to the Tate Museum.
Also ran into our friend from Amoeba at St Paul's Cathedral. Small world...

Today we are at Southend. Beautiful city and cool people.
The venue we are playing at has 1 shower we could use and it was in the men's bathroom, right next to the urinals. First time I walked in someone was taking a massive shit. So I left and came back later. There's also no lock on the door.
I am one of those people that like a clean shower and a bathroom that actually smells clean. So showering next to the urinals isn't my idea of a good time. It smelled just as bad as the toilet on the bus. And I thought sharing a bathroom with a bunch of guys was bad. Now I know it can get worse than that.

We had 4 days off and then we did Manchester last night. The best crowd so far.
The Dears played next door, so we went to see them after our show.
They were amazing !! Thanks to Martin for getting us in and we'll see you in Bristol :-)

Last night we played Rock City in Nottingham. It was the coolest venue so far. Real dirty. More our kind of vibe... We even found maggets in the shower, but hey...That's what you get, when you like it raw. I must admit I was happy to be able to shower in a clean place this morning.
Nottingham was happening. At least in the parking lot, where we were parked next to Evan Dando's bus. We were off the night before and saw the Lemonheads at the venue. Nice to just walk to the parking lot when you wanted to go to bed.
Thanks to Ryan for taking a day off from the Lemonheads tour, to hang with us. And thanks for all the amazing pictures you took. YOU ROCK !!!
Tonight we are playing a small warm-up gig in London at The Borderline. And then tomorrow The Forum.

Thanks for all the emails and comments. I had no idea that many people were reading this crap... I love it !

A good f*ck in Sheffield

Greetings from Sheffield. It's a day off today, so last night most of our team went out. Unfortunately they came home with a few extra people. Let's just say the party continued in the bunk beds, and they rocked us to sleep.
Poor Warren, our amazing tech. His bed was closest to the f*ck party and he felt sick..

New Castle

New Castle people like their rock n' roll for sure. It's been the wildest crowd on the UK tour so far. It was great to see people singing along to our songs.
Last night in Leeds our bus turned into a strip club, with groupies in the bunk beds. It happened more than once. Different groups of girls went through the bus.
I guess it's true what they say about the girls in Leeds.....???

Peaches at the Cockpit and a record deal !

Sold out show tonight. Lot's of families. It's the first time I had parents take photos of their kids with me. It was a bit strange. I guess it's a good thing we kept our clothes on.
Andy and Neil from Tough Cookie (UK Label) came out with the contract ready to sign. So we signed it after the show, using Johnny Lonely from Orson as our witness. It's the first record deal I have ever had and I didn't realize you needed a witness when you sign the contract. It's funny, you play music for so many years and dream of signing a deal. Then when it finally happens, it is no big deal.
It seems like the longer you wait for something, some of the power is gone, by the time you reach your goal. Really, it was no different than signing a deposit slip at the bank.

Today we are in Leeds. It's a day off. Tonight we are going to see Peaches at The Cockpit.

Naked in Norwich !

We picked up the tour bus today. It's pretty cool. The bottom is just a kitchen and a lounge, That's where the crew parties take place, the top floor is full of beds and a lounge with video games, that's where the Gliss party takes place.
Norwich, we were told, is very conservative. But when we stripped naked during the last song, they woke up. Good times, good times.....Feel free to send us photos.

Studio 1 in Hamburg

It's thursday morning about 4am. We haven't been able to sleep much, because of the jetlag. It's alright, we are on the 9th floor at a hotel in the middle of Hamburg. Excellent view. You can see the Reeperbahn from the window. We were there last night. We played at Studio 1. In case you don't know where that is, I am here to tell you, it's right next to "Funky Pussy" and across the street from "Pretty girls for a happy night". Needless to say, we had a nice time !
It was great to be back in Germany. I know a lot of you were complaining that we didn't play more cities here. Sorry!! We'll make it happen next time.
Today we are going to Copenhagen. Right after breakfast with our friend Hauke.

Stengade 30 in Copenhagen:

This is the wildest show we have played in a long time. It was packed and people were wild.
They were screaming during the whole set, dancing and jumping. One guy in front of the stage kept yelling "You are God". It was hilarious!
Some of the show was filmed and we will get it up here as soon as we can.
We tried to talk to everybody, but it was pretty chaotic, so sorry if we didn't get to all of you. Keep writing us, we love all your emails. (and photos)

Thanks to everybody for making our Copenhagen show unforgetable.
