long time

been a while for me but here i am. as you know we have been putting down our new ideas and playing you the demos on our page for a little bit. hope you've been digging the results and seeing how the songs evolve. in completely unrelated news, i got a new wide screen monitor and the new photoshop cs3 for my birthday so i have been messing around with it, getting it all dialed in and playing around on photoshop for the first time in quite a while. i haven't been getting crazy technical with the program or anything yet, mostly just continuing an old series i started a while ago loosely based on some ideas in Walter Benjamin's 1936 essay, "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction" and working on a few new things. anyways, here are some of those results.

oh...........ok

been walking the line

dancing the oooh sha sha - ha ha

working on new songs

getting lost in my headphones

how are you doing ??? what are you doing ???

watched Juno the other day. that girl was really good in it. i also dug the dude that left his wife.

been listening to lcd, peter bjorn and john, some early bowie again - been awhile....always fun to crack open the past and go....wow !! this is nice. thanks bowie !

hmmm. what else. ahh yup......

mgmt is a good record. they had that friedmann producer on this one. i am not sure if i spelled his named correctly, but he did a bunch of stuff i dig - flaming lips (mid career) i think Transmissions of the Satellite. what a wonderful album. if you dont have it. i think you'd really dig it.
big sounds and still have an organic fresh production. not too over the top.

my sleep has been a bit random. good one night. the next falling asleep around 5-6 am

speak soon

recording recording recording........

Sorry about the missing blogs, it's just been kinda busy. As you know we started recording last month, and we are still working on that. We did some rough mixes tonight of 3 songs after finishing some harmonies. Finally being able to hit "bounce to disk" is a good feeling.
I forced myself to go outside today. So I went up to Griffith Park and watched strangers play golf. It's my favorite kind of exercise.
Marilyn Manson is playing at the Wiltern on friday. I want to go so bad, but the tickets are $50 plus all the ticketmaster fees. I guess the only place I will be watching him is on youtube. Fortunately I did get to see him a few years ago at MTV music Awards. It was so rad, I have loved him ever since.
i am for sure going to look him up on Youtube right now ! Peace out !
Victoria

PS For those who care, I am making a short movie, whenever we are not recording. It's 15 minutes long. You will be able to get a copy later. It won't be done until at least a month from now. I am working on effects right now. It's so exciting....But now I am going to look for Manson.....
